Social Skills Group for Teens

This group will help teens looking to engage in social interaction in a safe and supportive environment. Participants will become more effective at conversational skills, showing empathy, and perspective taking. Participants will learn new tools to develop meaningful connections.

This group may be right for your teen if they:

  • Have difficulty establishing and maintaining friendships
  • Experience low self-esteem or lack of confidence in relationships
  • Struggle with perspective taking and empathy
  • Have difficulty interpreting social situations or cues

When: Every Thursday, July 14-August 11, 2022, 5:30pm–6:30pm

Week 1: Introduction and how to use appropriate conversational skills

Week 2: Exploring social cues and perspective taking

Week 3: Handling rejection, teasing, and bullying

Week 4: Navigating peer conflict

Week 5: Wrap-up
