Memorial And Honorary Gifts
SamaraCare accepts donor gifts made in remembrance of deceased family members, friends or loved ones (memorial gifts) as well as those gifts made in honor of living individuals (honorary gifts).
Memorial gifts are often made in response to announcements in obituaries or memorial service programs. Local area funeral homes will often have information or envelopes from which to make a gift to SamaraCare. If you would like to suggest memorial contributions be made to SamaraCare in your loved one’s obituary or memorial card, please use some of the suggested wording below:
Memorial contributions may be sent to SamaraCare, 1819 Bay Scott Circle, Ste 109, Naperville, IL 60540
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to SamaraCare, 1819 Bay Scott Circle, Ste 109, Naperville, IL 60540
Honorary gifts are often made in recognition of personal/professional accomplishments or important life events such as birthdays, weddings or retirements.
SamaraCare will provide gift receipted letters to all donors making memorial or honorary gifts, provided names and addresses are furnished. In addition, SamaraCare will send a corresponding letter of acknowledgement to the designated family member of a memorial gift or the honoree of a honorary gift. Actual gift amounts are not included on the contact’s gift notifications. However, the donor’s actual gift receipt will indicate the amount contributed.
In the event that a large number of memorial gifts are made in remembrance of any one individual, the Development Department will provide the designated family contacts or honoree with periodic reports providing the donor names and addresses.
