Genalin works with adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families. She specializes in anxiety and panic disorders, depression and stress, marital and family conflict, grief and loss, PTSD, social and emotional functioning, spirituality/faith/existential, trauma recovery, and OCD.

Genalin has a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, as well as a M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology and B.S. in Nursing from California State University of Long Beach. She has a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, which she uses to connect a client’s mind and body in the healing process. She did her internship at the Danielsen Institute at Boston University and received specialized training in depth psychology that is informed by spiritual, religious and existential perspectives. Her experiences in psychology, spiritual direction and nursing have led her to a more holistic and integrated approach in her work.

Genalin also does consultations with clergy to develop healthier patterns of life and ministry. She consults with churches in crisis and other non-for-profit organizations assessing their needs and developing seminars and retreats that enhance their community’s relationships and functioning.

Spiritual direction is another specialty for Genalin. She’s been a spiritual director for 16 years and also does supervision for spiritual directors. She was trained in the contemplative model of spiritual direction and has seen the fruits of those who invest in a deep spiritual life.

Genalin enjoys spending time with family and friends sharing in their day-to-day life and being in awe of what is. She is a continuous learner and observer. She enjoys traveling and experiencing and engaging with other cultures.
