Dr. Durkin is a board-certified general psychiatrist. She received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed her residency in psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. She has previously worked with a number of specialized populations, including patients experiencing homelessness, refugees, and military veterans. Throughout her career, she has also taught and mentored many medical students and resident physicians. She enjoys working with a wide variety of patients but has a special interest in working with emerging adults (ages 18-25 years old). Dr. Durkin provides initial diagnostic evaluations and ongoing management of psychiatric medications. She incorporates a diverse blend of psychotherapeutic techniques into her work with patients as well.
Dr. Durkin sees patients via telehealth and in-person in Wheaton.
