Naperville, IL: Effective May 1, 2024, SamaraCare, a non-profit mental health organization, will join forces with Summit Clinical Services (“Summit”), a mental health practice based in Wheaton, IL. The new combined organization will operate under the SamaraCare name as a nonprofit, and maintain the mission to “foster emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being through access to affordable life-changing care”. SamaraCare will retain Summit’s Wheaton office.
This union will expand SamaraCare’s service territory in Wheaton and central DuPage County. Three experienced psychiatrists, six therapists and several administrative staff will become part of SamaraCare’s team. This will supplement SamaraCare’s capacity to respond to the ongoing soaring demand for mental health services. The combined organization will remain committed to delivering high quality counseling, psychiatric and autism services to its clients as it consolidates the strengths and expertise of both organizations. With a more impactful market presence, the organization anticipates greater opportunities for increased funding and grant consideration.
“We view this integration as purposeful and positive growth consistent with our strategic plan. The two organizations are guided by similar core values and goals. We have prepared for a seamless transition and look forward to welcoming these talented and top-notch colleagues to our team,” said SamaraCare CEO & President, Dr. Scott Michell.
“After much consideration and dialogue, SamaraCare and Summit decided it was the right time for these two first-rate organizations to come together. Both organizations share a dedication to helping individuals, couples and families reach their greatest potential,” said Dr. Michael Bradburn, Executive Director, SamaraCare.
“For 30 years Summit has remained committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive mental health services in a caring environment,” said Jeff Santee, Ph.D., Cofounder & Partner, Summit. “We look forward to joining forces with SamaraCare to enhance our commitment to the health and well-being of our clients.”
