This fall, Kate Philben celebrated her 35th anniversary as a clinical psychologist on SamaraCare’s (formerly Samaritan) team. Throughout her career, Kate remained committed to SamaraCare’s mission to help others improve their well-being while advancing affordable access to care. Kate developed an expertise working with the senior population and caregivers. She helped hundreds of clients successfully navigate life transitions including divorce, grief, and aging. Her specialties also include depression and anxiety.
Kate believes healing and growth happen best in an accepting and non-judgmental environment where clients feel free to explore concerns and make peace with past experiences. She works with clients to find deeper meaning in their lives by being more connected to themselves and their relationships. So many of Kate’s clients have expressed their gratitude for their relationship with Kate and how she has positively impacted their lives.
Kate earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an M.A. in religious studies from Mundelein College. She is certified in gerontology by the Illinois Psychological Association.
On behalf of everyone at SamaraCare and all those you’ve served…
CONGRATULATIONS!
